Filmmaker SS Rajamouli has returned from London after a short break. The director is likely to begin work on his next project soon.
Rajamouli has started working on the script and it is said to be a revenge drama, which will be bankrolled by DVV Danayya of Desamuduru, Julayi and Naayak fame. The director is expected to wrap up the story by the end of December, and the shooting will commence early next year.
Rajamouli has not finalised the actors although there have been strong rumours of Allu Arjun playing a key role in the film. Latest reports suggest that Prabhas is not part of the project as he will be fully occupied with his next venture, Saaho.
However, the upcoming movie will not be a mega-budget project like the Baahubali series. Also, it will not have high-end graphics and will be a regular commercial entertainer.
Considering the massive success of the Baahubali franchise, SS Rajamouli will be tempted to make a multilingual movie and cast an actor who could have pan-India appeal.
The filmmaker's latest movie, Baahubali 2, has become the biggest hit at the Indian box office. The movie, which stars Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles, has made over Rs 1,600 crore at the worldwide box office.
