Popular smartphone maker Spice has added a new budget handset to its Stellar series in India.
Dubbed Stellar 360, the new handset with touch-screen and QWERTY keypad has been priced at ₹4,799. It comes with 3.5-inch TFT LCD display with a 320 x 480 pixel resolution and is powered by a dual core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 512MB of RAM. The handset runs on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS and packs 4GB internal memory with expandable option up to 32GB via microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the handset supports Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth and 3G and is backed by 1,500 mAh battery, which promises upto 5 hours talktime on 2G network and up to 8 days under standby mode on 2G.
In terms of the camera features, the handset comes equipped with 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset will be available in White colour variant and offers dual-SIM (GSM-GSM) support.
Spice Stellar 360 comes with preloaded apps such as WhatsApp, BBM, Twitter and Opera and utility apps like Spice Cloud, Getit and OLX.
In addition to this, the company is also offering 2 GB free storage space on Spice Cloud and the handset comes bundled with a Free Pouch worth ₹500. This is the company's first Touch and Type Qwerty device and the online retailers like Amazon and Saholic have listed the smartphone on their websites.
In May, the company launched Stellar 509, a budget Android handset with a price tag of ₹7,999. It sports 5-inch FWVGA (854x480p) display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The handset runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box OS and comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable by up to 32 GB with microSD card. The handset houses 8.0-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Stellar 509 smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, A-GPS and 3G and comes loaded with 2,000 mAh battery. The phone comes with pre-installed apps such as Spice Cloud, Opera Mini, OLX, Getit and Greetzap and comes in White colour option.
