Sony has officially commenced pre-ordering for its entire Xperia X series in Europe, revealing details about the pricing and availability of the Xperia X, Xperia XA and Xperia X Performance smartphones in select countries. The Xperia X and XA were listed on Amazon Germany with their pricing, but the details about the Xperia X Performance remained a mystery.
However, the Xperia X Performance is now available for pre-orders in France, Italy, Sweden, Spain and the Netherlands at EUR 699 (roughly Rs. 53,500), Xperia Blog reported. The premium flagship device will be available starting July 4, the report said.
As for the other two handsets, Xperia X is priced at EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 45,800) and the Xperia XA is listed for EUR 299 (roughly Rs. 23,000). The former is expected to be available later this month and the latter will be available in late-June in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK (the pricing differs from country to country).
International Business Times, India reached out to Sony India for a comment on the devices' release in the country, which is expected to happen in the next few months.
Sony Xperia X series was launched at this year's Mobile World Congress 2016. All the three smartphones have identical design, impressive cameras and 5-inch curved glass displays. The Xperia X Performance, which is the most premium device of the lot, features a Full HD Triluminos display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, 23MP primary camera with pulse LED flash and a 13MP front camera.
The handset comes with a 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and has a 2,700mAh battery. Like other handsets, the Xperia X Performance runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Xperia X is slightly toned-down version of the X Performance and comes with Snapdragon 650 processor, 2,650mAh battery, but has the same camera and display.
Finally, the Xperia XA, which is the base model, comes with a HD display, MediaTel octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 2,300mAh battery. The handset comes with a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP front snapper. All handsets come in white, lime gold, rose gold and graphite black colour options.
