Akkineni Nagarjuna's "Soggade Chinni Nayana" (SCN) is set to complete the successful run of 50 days in over 75 theatres around the world on March 4. The film has set a new record for the actor.

The promos of "Soggade Chinni Nayana" had created a lot of curiosity among the film goers and its makers were the first to decide to release the film as Sankranti treat. "Nannaku Prematho," "Dictator" and "Express Raja" joined the Sankranti later. Nagarjuna's film had lesser amount of promotion compared to other films, which were released one/two days before it.

Moreover, "Soggade Chinni Nayana" had a limited screen count (660 Screens) compared to "Nannaku Prematho" and "Dictator." Hence, trade analysts in T-Town were little skeptic about its prospects at the box office. Some even thought that the movie would be a disaster at the ticket counters.

But to everyone surprise, "Soggade Chinni Nayana" opened to a fantastic response and collected approximately Rs 6.50 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day. The movie earned a share of Rs 4.75 crore to its distributors. The movie became the biggest opener in the career of Nagarjuna.

"Soggade Chinni Nayana" received positive response from the audience and the word of mouth helped it go on strength to strength. The movie did superb collection and recovered the 100% investments to its distributors by the end of its opening week. While "Nannaku Prematho" topped the business chart, the film landed in the third spot, beating "Dictator" and "Express Raja."

Kalyan Krishna-directed supernatural drama film was made with a whopping budget of over Rs 20 crore and its global theatrical rights were sold for a whopping price of Rs 18 crore. "Soggade Chinni Nayana" grossed approximately Rs 34.74 crore at the worldwide box office in the first week. The film earned over Rs 22.83 crore to its distributors.

While its rivals witnessed a steep decline in their business, "Soggade Chinni Nayana" maintained rock-steady from the second week and led the race at the ticket counters. The Nagarjuna starrer has collected approximately over Rs 70 crore gross at the worldwide box office so far. The film is estimated to have earned more than Rs 44 crore to its global distributors.

"Soggade Chinni Nayana" has become a blockbuster success at the box office. The movie will reportedly complete 50 days in 75 cinema halls and it is still running with a decent amount occupancy in many key centres. It has become the all-time highest grossing film in the career of Nagarjuna, who is all thrilled and decided to do a sequel to it.
