Akkineni Nagarjuna's "Soggade Chinni Nayana" (SCN) has done good collection at the worldwide box office in its first weekend. It has landed in the second place in the business chart, pushing "Dictator" and "Express Raja".
The promos of "Soggade Chinni Nayana" had garnered a lot of attention before its release in theatres. The makers had also planned massive promotions for the film and it enjoyed good advance bookings too. But the trade experts were a bit sceptic about its success at the ticket counters because it was released days after "Nannaku Prematho", "Dictator" and "Express Raja" hit the screens.
To everyone's surprise, "Soggade Chinni Nayana" opened to superb response with its average occupancy reaching 70% in the morning shows on Friday. The movie got positive reviews from the audience and the word-of-mouth took its business upwards in the later shows. The film collected Rs 5.5 crore gross at the AP/T box office on the first day. It fetched Rs 3.90 crore to its distributors.
"Soggade Chinni Nayana" went on strength to strength on Saturday and Sunday and is estimated to have collected Rs 13 crore gross at the AP/T box office in the first weekend. The movie has earned Rs 8.5 crore to its distributors in three days. The film has fetched the share of Rs 3.8 crore in Nizam.

The Nagarjuna, Lavanya and Ramya Krishna starrer has made fantastic business in Karnataka and other parts of India. The film has set a new record by crossing the mark of $500,000 at the US box office in three days. "Soggade Chinni Nayana" is estimated to have grossed approximately Rs 7 crore in other parts of the globe.
"Soggade Chinni Nayana" has collected approximately Rs 20+ crore gross at the worldwide box office in its first weekend. The film is estimated to have earned Rs 14.10 crore to its distributors in three days. The movie has become one of the highest grosser flicks of Nagarjuna in the opening weekend.

When compared to Nagarjuna's previous movies, Soggade Chinni Nayana was released in a limited number of screens. The makers of the film are all thrilled over its overwhelming response and they have planned to increase its screen count from the second week. Andhra Box Office tweeted, "More Theatres will be added for #SoggadeChinniNayana Next week in Nizam which is doing very Well!."
