The two-day South Indian International Movie Awards event (SIIMA 2014) concluded on Saturday, 13 September, in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.

The second day event also witnessed several film celebrities including Tamannah, Asin, Devi Sri Prasad, Navdeep, Isha Talwar, Regina Cassandra, Puneeth Rajkumar, Shivarajkumar, Vijay and Amala Paul, Parvathi Menon, Simbu, Trisha, Shriya Saran, Aftab Shivdasani, Rana Daggubati, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari, Avika Gor and Shriya Saran among others gracing the occasion.

The winners of the SIIMA awards from the Tamil film industry were announced. Dhanush won the best actor (critics) award for his performance in the critically-acclaimed film "Mariyaan." Actor Simbu received the award on behalf of Dhanush during the awards ceremony.

Dhanush took to Twitter to thank SIIMA as well as the fans who voted for him. He also thanked Simbu for collecting the award.

Trisha won the best actress award for "Endrendrum Punnagai," while "Soodhu Kavvum" was chosen as the best film.

Composer Anirudh won the best music director award for "Ethir Neechal."

"Thank you SIIMA Awards for giving me the Best Music Director of the year 2013 for Ethir Neechal.My second SIIMA in two consecutive years :)," Anirudh tweeted.

Sivakarthikeyan bagged the best actor award for "Ethir Neechal" and the sensation of south Indian cinema award, while Simbu won the stylish star of south Indian cinema award.

Ajith's "Arrambam" has won two awards including best supporting actor (Arya) and best dance choreographer (Shobi).
