Ajay Devgn's upcoming movie Shivaay apparently has a Pakistani link. Vir Das plays the character of a Pakistani hacker in the film.
In the wake of ban on Pakistani artists in India, the makers of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had to face much hardship as the film features Fawad Khan in a key role. It was reported that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma were also supposed to play Pakistani characters in the film but their roles were changed to avoid any more controversy.
Now, Ajay too might have to make some changes in Shivaay. "It's not a negative role. I am playing a Pakistani hacker. I am under contract, I can't reveal much details about the film," DNA quoted Vir as saying. Only time will tell if Ajay will make any changes in Vir's role like Karan did for ADHM.
The entire ruckus about Pakistani artists started after the Uri terror attack. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena had demanded ouster of all Pakistani artists from India and also had demanded ban on films which feature them.
Both Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil are slated to be released on the same date, causing a huge box office clash. The two movies are much hyped and are likely to have a tough fight at the commercial circuit.
While ADHM is a romantic drama, Shivaay will be a high-octane action film but will apparently also have much emotional aspect. The films will hit the screens on October 28.
