Shah Rukh Khan's much hyped upcoming films, "Raees" and "Fan" will reportedly start rolling next year.

While "Raees" co-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment and directed by Rahul Dholakia was initially supposed to go on floors from 1 November this year,   "Fan" directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Yash Raj Films was likely to start shooting by mid-2014. Habib Faisal has penned the script of "Fan."

Putting an end to the speculations regarding the delay of the films, a source close to the projects has reportedly revealed that the films, which have been in the pipeline for quite some time now, will start filming from early next year.

"SRK will first begin work on 'Fan'. That's his commitment to YRF. And 'Raees' will commence early next year," a source close to Dholakia told The Deccan Chronicle.

Khan has allotted most of his dates to "Raees" and has also been actively involved with the scripting of these two films, the source added.

"Raees" will see Khan and Akhtar sharing screen space for the first time. The duo had worked together in "Don" (2006) and its sequel "Don 2" (2011), which Akhtar directed, while SRK played the lead.

Besides that, the makers of "Raees" have also confirmed that Sonam Kapoor will be paired opposite the "Happy New Year" actor. "Raees" is set in Gujarat, and Khan will play the role of a Gujarati bootlegger.

Meanwhile, details of "Fan" and its cast is still under wraps. However, the pre-production work is said to be going on.

Both the films are set to release in the later half of 2015. And if everything goes well, the "Chennai Express" star will have two major releases next year.

As of now, Khan is busy promoting his most awaited film "Happy New Year". The movie, directed by Farah Khan, also has Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani as main characters.

The trailer of "Happy New Year" has already created tremendous buzz among viewers and the film is all set to release worldwide on 23 October.
