Actor Shah Rukh Khan's presence in Eden Gardens for Kolkata Knight Rider's (KKR) last match has evoked massive reactions on social networking sites.

For all KKR fans, it was SRK's appearance which did wonders for the home team. The team won the match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Friday after a string of losses.

A humbled and moved Shah Rukh told IANS, "I feel extremely responsible that I don't let the fans down. So we will try harder."

On his fans expectations he said, "As you know, I can't do much. But the team is doing its best. I think they have been playing well and ensure you are not disappointed. And you go back home extremely happy, as happy as you make us all."

Overwhelmed with the support and loyalty from his fans, the delighted team owner said, "When we started, Juhi and me, it was 'hum karlenge' (we will do it). But you realise along the way that when good things don't happen then how much it helps when the whole crowd is behind you, especially at the Eden."

"Everywhere whether it's in this city of Kolkata, all over Bengal, all over the country, on Twitter, on social networking, I do sense, coming from this profession, a feeling of happiness when we win. Extremely humbled, grateful, and need this kind of backing."

Shah Rukh's presence at Eden with daughter Suhana was cheered by ardent supporters. Juhi Chawla's husband Jai Mehta was also seen standing alongside the actor at the stands.

An ecstatic fan said on Facebook, "SRK comes and we win the matches. SRK please make it to the other matches also."
