Shabana Azmi Attends 'International Day of the Girl Child 2013'

Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi opened the "International Day of the Girl Child 2013" on 10 October.

Shabana who has been a social activist for a long time promotes education and welfare of a girl child.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with The Consulate General of Canada organized the event.

"Right now millions of girls around the world, including in India, face barriers to education that boys do not. That's the bad news. But the good news is that we can change this," Shabana said during the event.

The actress was also seen interacting with girls about the education and importance of education in their life.

Shabana will be seen in her upcoming film "Mukti" and "Positive" which is set to release soon.
