Punjabi movie "Sardaar Ji" (also spelled as Sardar Ji), starring Diljit Dosanjh, Mandy Takhar and Neeru Bajwa, has garnered positive reviews from the audience across the globe.
Written by Dheeraj Rattan, "Sardaar Ji" is the first supernatural romantic comedy film in 'Pollywood'. The movie revolves around the story of an orphan boy named Jaggi (Diljit Dosanjh), who has a special power to drive away spirits.
An English couple invite him to solve the problem of wedding venue, which is haunted by a witch (Neeru Bajwa). Seeing how Jaggi solves the problem creates a laugh riot.
With "Sardaar Ji", director Rohit Jugraj Chauhan has ventured into a new genre, which was not explored in Punjabi film industry. The film is predictable in parts, the narration is slow paced and some scenes are forced, but these things do not stop the viewers from enjoying the comedy.

Sardar Ji is definitely not a great film, but it is surely one of the best comedy film of recent time Punjabi film industry has ever made. Rohit Jugraj's first ever Fantasy film makes you laugh, makes you cry and more importantly entertains you well. An interesting story goes well with nuanced screenplay and every single dialogue makes you laugh hard. I am not huge fan of Diljit Dosanjh, but this guy has definitely proved me wrong with his versatile comic timing. There is hardly any scene in the film, I which he doesn't justice with the role of Ghost Hunter Jaggi. Mandy Takhar is second best performer of the film, and believe me she over shadowed Neeru Bajwa in many scenes with her amazing looks and brilliant act. Though am huge fan of Neeru, but she Lil bit disappointed me with her performance. As lady ghost, her act could be better, but have to say that Mandy Takhar literally nailed as Jasmine Gill. So, Sardar is definitely a worth watch, if you love fantasy cinema. It will be best and entertaining outing for your weekend. Go, but its not as horror that it would make you " Booo main taaan darr gayi".
