Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, which is already available in various countries, including UK, US and Canada, has been officially launched in Indian market. The Galaxy Tab 2 went up for the sales in India in quick succession after the announcement of its pre-booking.
The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is the sixth Android-based tablet to be introduced in the Indain markets by the Korean electronics giant, Samsung, price at Rs 23250.
However, currently the Galaxy Tab 2 is being sold on the Buytheprice.com, an online gadgets shopping website, at a price of Rs 19,900, which is less than the price available on the Samsung's product website.
Beside Buytheprice.com, other websites like Saholic and infibeam are also selling the latest Galaxy tablet on their websites, price at Rs 19,499 and 19,900 respectively. However, Saholic is offering the tablet relatively at a lower price when compared with other two online sellers.
Meanwhile, the Samsung has announced an offer along with the Indian service carrier, Tata DoCoMo. The Tata service provider offers a 3GB of free data for its costumers for first three weeks.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is the first Samsung's tablet that runs the Android's latest irritation codenamed Ice cream Sandwich and was first exhibited at the Mobile World Congress.
According to the Samsung, its new Galaxy Tab 2 comes with an upgraded Android market with over 400,000 applications which can be enjoyed across phones or tablets.
Furthermore, a more intuitive user interface includes the ability to swipe-control applications as well as a wholly redesigned app gallery for easier sharing of content. The new OS's vastly faster performance and response times across multiple applications is further enhanced by HSPA＋ 21Mbps or WiFi connectivity.
