Expectations from Samsung's upcoming flagship, dubbed as the Galaxy S8, are sky-high after the debacle of the Galaxy Note 7. The company will work to win back its fans besides boosting business with the latest technology available in the market and innovation. There is so much hype about it, which is good, but it could backfire if the speculated specifications are not seen when the device is launched.

It has been reported that the Samsung Galaxy S8 would mount powerful camera -- dual 12MP S5K2L2 sensor and 13MP sensor main camera made by Sony, and an 8MP front-snapper. It is also reported that its selfie camera would have autofocus feature. However, Mysmartprice has reported citing a Weibo post that the upcoming next-generation handset might house a single camera and not a dual camera as reported earlier.

The report is not confirmed but Samsung fans will be disappointed if the Galaxy S8 doesn't mount a dual camera.

The South Korean technology giant is expected to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) assistant service to its upcoming flagship device. It holds water as it has acquired Viv Labs Inc, a startup founded by the creators of Apple's Siri.

There are conflicting reports on the screen size of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 edge. It is reported that the devices would come in two variants – one with a 5.1-inch curved Super AMOLED display with 2K screen resolution, and the other with a 5.5-inch 4K panel (806 ppi pixel density). It is also reported that two variants of the handset would sport a 5.7-inch and a 6.2-inch screen.

According to reports that have surfaced so far, the Galaxy S8 will feature a Qualcomm's upcoming processor Snapdragon 835, a 256GB internal memory, and a 6GB RAM.

Samsung has the tradition of unveiling its Galaxy S devices at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), but reports have suggested that the Galaxy S8 will be launched in April.
