A scene from "Bajrangi Bhaijaan"

While Salman Khan is earning laurels for his performance in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", a new report revealed that the hunky actor was not the first choice for the role. Writer of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", Vijayendra Prasad -- who also wrote "Baahubali", revealed that the makers of the hit movie had first approached Aamir Khan to play the lead.

The report in Pinkvilla stated that though Aamir liked the story very much, as he had already signed two films, "PK" and "Dangal", he was forced to say no to the offer.

Eventually, makers of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" approached Salman with the role and he immediately grabbed it.

Salman's chemistry with the little girl, Munni - played by Harshaali Malhotra, was well accepted by viewers and the film turned out to be a blockbuster. The film even received good response from Pakistan.

Though, a particular section of people in Pakistan claimed the film to be anti-Pakistan and protested the screening of the movie there, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is making good box office collection there.

As a matter of fact, the movie is being considered as Salman's best till date.

Salman is gearing up for his next release "Sultan" and Aamir Khan too is prepping for his upcoming project "Dangal". Both the actors will play the roles of wrestlers in the films.
