Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has a big reason to celebrate as the year comes to an end.

The prestigious Forbes India has released the annual list of top 100 celebrities in India and this year superstar Salman Khan has made it to the top slot beating Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

With two major box office hits in 2014, "Jai Ho" and "Kick", along with his reality show "Bigg Boss 8", huge fan following and charitable trust "Being Human", Salman has made it to the top, both in terms of earnings (₹244.5 crore) and fame as well.

The second in the list is Bollywood megastar Big B. At 70, the megastar has the highest number of fan-following on Twitter, besides various endorsement deals and film offers, thereby making him secure the second slot with ₹196.75 crore annual income.

Shah Rukh Khan who ruled the list for two consecutive years slipped to the third position, owing to his huge, but late release "Happy New Year" that hit the theatres on October. The Forbes India counted celebrity earnings from 1 October 2013 to 30 September 2014.

Further, the actor has the highest number of endorsements deal this year, thereby making him earn ₹202.4 crore this year. Although, the figure is more than Big B's earnings, on the fame list King Khan made it to the seventh position, resulting in a fall in the overall rank.

With ₹172 crore, Akshay Kumar has secured the fifth position in the 2014 Forbes India Top 100 Celebrity list.

At seventh position is Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan (₹80.47 crore), who has a big release this year, "PK". Last year, his single release "Dhoom 3" broke all box office records.

The only Bollywood actress in the top 10 list is Deepika Padukone. With back-to-back hits, no wonder the actress has become one of the top earning actresses. She holds the eighth position on the list with a gross annual income of ₹67.2 crore.

Hrithik Roshan bagged the ninth position with ₹85 crore. Although, the Bollywood hunk fared well at the box office with "Krrish 3" and the hugely successful "Bang Bang", his divorce with Sussanne Khan may have cost him a low rank in the fame list.
