There are no dearth of videos online showcasing the thrill of bikers racing on some of the highways in the country. And as long as they continue to enthrall motor enthusiasts, there seems to be no end in sight. In the latest video doing the rounds, the upcoming TVS Akula 310 is featured pressing the throttle with a Bajaj Dominar 400 in hot pursuit.

While the video exhibits the capabilities of the motorcycles in question, it also raises a larger question - the dangers posed by the speeding. While it is exciting to see the Dominar 400 and the TVS Apache RR 310S racing on the roads, it raises serious concerns over the safety. Both the motorcyclists seem to be crossing the speed limits on the highways and its evident they are putting their lives to risk as well as the other road users.

In the video uploaded on YouTube by a user named MotoStories, the upcoming TVS track-bred motorcycle is showcased being chased by Bajaj's most powerful cruiser the Dominar 400. The speedometer of the Dominar 400 displays speeds of over 150 kmph although that of Akula 310 is not visible.

The latter in production version in all probability will be named Apache RR 310S. It manages to escape from the rider's view of the Dominar 400, indicting the high speed of the motorcycle.

When launched in India, the Apache RR 310S, a track-bred concept bike will be the fastest and most powerful motorcycle of TVS. Aside, it is the first motorcycle from the partnership of TVS and German two-wheeler manufacturer BMW Motorrad with the probable launch likely in the months of July- August this year. TVS Motor Company had unveiled Akula 310 at the Auto Expo 2016. On the engine front, the Akula 310 and the BMW G 310 R will share the same 310cc engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The TVS motorcycle is expected to get features such as upside down forks in the front, DRLs, LED tail lamps and ABS. Reports suggest TVS Akula is likely to get a price tag under Rs. 2 lakh.
