Rita Ora and Calvin Harris called it quits in 2014 and almost after a year after their break-up, the "X-Factor" judge has opened up about her split with the Scottish DJ.

The 24-year-old singer, who will be on the October 2015 cover of Marie Claire UK, spoke to the magazine about relationships and also revealed the reason that led to the split with Calvin Harris, after dating him for a year.

"There was a reason why I split up with him. [...] It was more of a thing where I was in awe. I was at that point in my relationship where I felt he could do no wrong. I thought he had my back and that he'd never steer me wrong. But then "I Will Never Let You Down" came out, and everything started to go a bit weird. I don't know if it was because business was mixed with personal or what," Ora told the magazine.

The "Body on Me" singer also admitted about how she fears loneliness. "I'm afraid of being alone. Sometimes love just makes you feel crazy. And that feeling that we have as girls, just to have that feeling, even for five seconds, it's like crack. I mean, don't compare it to that, but you know what I mean," she confessed.

Ever since their break-up, Rita has never spoken about Calvin Harris. In fact, both the artistes had announced their split on social media.

The DJ tweeted: "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."

And Rita wrote: "I don't usually address speculation but I've had an incredible time w Calvin,& i will treasure the memories."

The two singers expressed hectic work schedules as the reason why they couldn't keep their relationship going for long. But Ora later revealed that she was not coping with the break-up well.

"I'm gonna tell you the truth: I'm not doing too great. But, I'm doing better than I thought. I adore him and he's such an amazing human being. It was more about the situation. It was inconvenient. It sucks. It wasn't about 'us.' It was about the world we live in," Ora had said in her interview with Glamour U.K (via MStarz).

But now, as we all know, DJ Calvin Harris has moved on and is successfully dating singer Taylor Swift. The two were speculated to be dating since March, but made it official only after the Billboard Music Awards 2015 in May.

Well, Rita Ora fans have been praying that the singer finds her Mr Perfect soon, just like Taylor Swift, who has found one in DJ Calvin Harris.
