Rakshit Shetty starrer "Ricky" was released on Friday, 22 January. It is a crime-thriller written and directed by Rishab Shetty.
The hero's last movie "Vaastu Prakara" had bombed at the box office. Despite generating a good pre-talk, it had failed to live up to the expectations. Now, Rakshit Shetty is back with "Ricky" and he is in need of a hit.
Haripriya plays the female lead in "Ricky" that has Achyuth Kumar, Ravi Kale, Kishore, Pramod Shetty, Veena Sunder, Sadhu Kokila, Manjunath and others in the cast. The film, bankrolled by SV Babu, has Arjun Janya's music, Venkatesh Anguraj's cinematography and NM Vishwa's editing.
The audience have pinned high hopes on "Ricky" after the trailer and the audio managed to meet their expectations. The makers have also promoted the Kannada film well and the movie has released in over 140 screens in the state.
"Ricky" talks about Naxalite issues and Special Economic Zones in the film. There is also a love track that is inspired from the story of Radha and Krishna. Overall, the film promises to explore some serious issues in the backdrop of a love story.
