Sai Dharam Tej's Second Telugu film "Rey", which was to mark his acting debut, but got delayed due to financial problems, has finally been released in theatres worldwide (on 27 March).
"Rey" is a musical-romantic entertainer, which is high on dance and action. The film's hero is a third generation Telugu guy living in the West Indies. The heroine is a Telugu girl from India, who comes to the West Indies to take part in a dance competition. The subject of the film is completely away from the Telugu nativity. The word "Rey" is a shout for success and is quite suitable for its title.
Written, directed and produced by YVS Chowdary, "Rey" features Sai Dharam Tej and Saiyami Kher in lead roles. Shraddha Das, Farhad Shahnawaz have also played equally important roles in the film, while Arpit Ranka, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Ali, Raghu Babu and Venu Madhav are in the supporting cast.
"Rey" has good story, superb performances by actors and rich technical aspects. Sai Dharam Tej's energetic performance, YVS Chowdary's script, Chakri's music, Gunasekharan's cinematography and wonderfully choreographed action and dance sequences are the main highlights of the film, according to the audience.
