Sajid Khan's "Humshakals", starring Saif Ali Khan-Ritesh Deshumkh-Ram Kapoor, is all set to hit screens this Friday . The film's team has been busy promoting the comedy entertainer , except Bipasha Basu, who is reportedly playing a prominent role in the film.

The sultry actress has not attended any of the film's promotional events . " Bipasha won't be joining for promotions and we are extremely sorry for that. But that's okay. The reasons for not joining us in the promotions are best known to her. And that's a fact," director Sajid Khan told Press Trust of India, when questioned about her absence.

Now, Basu has broken her silence and has clarified her stand on twitter. The actress stated that she is extremely disturbed by the film's end result and hence has decided to keep away from promoting the multi starrer.

"This is to put an end to all the discussions around my absence for Humshakals promotions. I take full responsibility of getting into a film only on the basis of trust. But after dubbing for my character in the film, as I had professionally committed to do so I'm extremely disturbed by the end result of the same.In these circumstances I didn't know how to promote a film with all honesty and that's why I thought it was better to stay away," the Bong beauty wrote.

"I am confident that the film will be true to it's genre and will be a full entertainer because of the people involved. I wish fox star studios who I have had my biggest hit with Raaz 3 and vashu ji who is a fantastic producer all the best. Wish all my co stars Saif, Riteish, Tamannah, Esha and the technicians best of luck. Sometimes, certain journeys cannot be completed and this is one of them - no one to be blamed, combination of things that made me disrupt my journey."

"Humshakals" is one of the most-awaited films of 2014. The comedy entertainer is about a confusion that takes place when three individuals have lookalikes with the same name. The film has Khan, Deshmukh and Kapoor doing triple roles, while Tamannaah Bhatia and Esha Gupta play the female leads.

Sajid's last release "Himmatwala", an action entertainer, was a complete disaster at the box office. The director has done "Humshakals" in a genre that he is best at – comedy. He will be hoping that the multi starrer performs well at the box office.

The film's music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya, the cinematography is handled by Ravi Yadav and editing is done by Rameshwar S. Bhagat. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani under the banner of Pooja Entertainment India Ltd.
