There's something about the Imtiaz Ali brand of films that touch the soul. His love stories are real and not one bit exaggerated.

The filmmaker's next, tentatively titled "The Ring," stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. The first look — the superstar in his stylish best on the streets of Prague — is making the wait to the film's release very tough.

Here's all you need to know about "The Ring:"

SRK will be playing Harinder Singh Nehra, a tour guide from Punjab and Anushka a Gujarati girl, Catch News reported. Because the actor has spent over two decades of his life in Delhi, his accent is on point. The leading lady has been taking lessons to get her diction right for the film.

The first leg has begun in the Czech capital and is expected to be wrapped up by Sept. 6, after which the cast and crew will move to Budapest. About 80 percent of shooting will take place in Europe and rest in the state of Punjab. The film is being produced and distributed by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment and is expected to open in theatres during the Independence Day 2017 weekend. Pritam has been roped in to compose the music of "The Ring."

What do the lead stars — Shah Rukh and Anushka — have to say about their third film together?

SRK said that the story is the kind that goes with his age and isn't an "upbeat" romantic film adding that the director looks at love stories differently and has something in store that the audience will hopefully enjoy.

Meanwhile, Anushka pointed out that Imtiaz's works explore the intense side of a man-woman relationship and that there's growth in the characters he writes.

"There is a growth in his characters during the course of the film, love teaches them. I think that's the beauty of his romantic movies. Shah Rukh is the king of romance, he redefined love to an entire generation," she further elaborated.
