Renault India has launched a new edition of its much acclaimed Duster in the country, as a part of the second anniversary of its SUV in India.
Priced at ₹8.8 lakh (ex-Delhi showroom), the new edition Duster will be available in the country only till 20 July. The Second Anniversary Edition Renault Duster comes in new Amazon Green Colour and hosts a slew of features like front armour with lamps, Neon interiors and smoked headlamps. The Duster is powered by 1.5l dCi Engine which can churn out a power of 83.3 bhp and 200 Nm of torque and comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The car promises a fuel efficiency of 20.45 Kmpl and its ground clearance stands at 205mm. In addition to this, the new edition of Duster is also being offered with 2 year warranty, free 4 years roadside assistance and membership for Gang of Dusters.
Duster, the car which redefined the definitions of SUVs in the domestic market in many aspects has been earning rave reviews since its entry into the market. Although the competition in the SUV segment is getting tougher with new launches, the sales of the Duster have not been affected much. Recently, the company launched a limited edition of Duster in the country in addition to the original model.
Priced at ₹9.9 lakh, the new limited edition of Duster comes packed with Infotainment System, Steering Mounted Controls, Bluetooth Telephony and USB.
On the safety front, the new Duster packs Dual Airbags- ABS & EBD, Rear Wiper and Defogger. Under the hood, it offers a 1.5 liter four cylinder diesel engine, which can churn out a power of 85 PS and a peak torque of 200 Nm. The engine comes coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox and the other notable features include front fog lamps and keyless entry.
Rumours are also rife that Renault will be bringing its Duster 4X4 to India in October this year. It is already on sale in the international markets, and is likely to come with 110PS diesel engine coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox.
