Reliance Jio 4G services haven't still been started commercially, but they are already the hottest topic for discussion in the telecom world. Rivals are feeling threatened by the upcoming Jio services in India, while consumers can enjoy the fastest mobile browsing and download for free.

Reliance is offering a 90-day preview offer of its Jio 4G service to those who purchase a LYF smartphone and on select third-party smartphones, such as Samsung Galaxy series. We reviewed a few devices compatible with Reliance Jio and found the download and browsing speeds to be incredible. Moreover, there is no limit on how much data we are using despite the service being offered for free.

While consumers can get a budget LYF smartphone for as low as Rs. 2,999 and use the hotspot to grant free Wi-Fi access to up to 10 devices, Reliance has launched just the device we need. The all-new JioFi MiFi device is now available in Reliance Digital, Digital Xpress and Digital Xpress Mini stores, and it is sold without invites, Phone Radar reported.

Reliance JioFi MiFi 4G device costs Rs. 2,899, and comes with a Jio 4G SIM, which is activated with Jio preview offer. As most of us are aware, the Jio preview offer gives 90 days of unlimited voice calls, 4G data, SMS and access to Jio suite of apps.

Relince JioFi is a tiny hotspot device, which lets users connect up to 31 devices simultaneously. With LYF smartphones, one can only connect up to 10 devices, but they get the benefit of unlimited calls and SMS. But from our network testing, the voice calling is not as reliable as the 4G high-speed data.

According to media reports, Reliance is commercially launching its Jio 4G services across major cities in India on Monday, Aug. 15, but only for prepaid customers. Postpaid customers will have to wait until later this year for the services.
