With just one day left for business tycoon Ravi Pillai's daughter Arathi's wedding to Kochi-based Adithya Vishnu, preparations are on in full swing at Asramam Maidan in Kollam.
A grand set, worth more than Rs 23 crore, has been designed for the event by art director Sabu Cyril of "Baahubali" fame.
As part of the pre-wedding celebrations, singer Manjari's ghazals and actress Navya Nair's dance fusion will take place from 5:30 pm to 9 pm at Hotel Raviz in Kollam on Tuesday, 24 November.
At 7 pm on Wednesday, a cultural programme by fusion band Thrisakthi has been arranged for at Ravigeetham, QS Road, in Kollam. Meanwhile, actor Mukesh and his wife Methil Devika will perform Naga drama at 8:30 pm at Hotel Raviz.
The wedding function is expected to be attended by royals from the Middle East as well as CEOs of various companies and many celebrities. The expected guest list includes members of the royal families of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE, CEOs of Japan Gas Corporation and Chiyoda Corporation Japan, Samsung Group, officials from Maire Tecnimont Group, Korea's SK Group, ExxonMobil, NL Group Europe, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, and actors Mammootty and Mohanlal.
The wedding on Thursday will also see cultural programmes by Gayathri (bhajans), Manju Warrier (Kuchipudi), Sobhana (Bharatanatyam and Sita Kalyanam) and Stephen Devassy's fusion music. The function will be presented by popular television anchor Ranjini Haridas and Nadaswaram will be played by Vettikkavala Sasikumar and group.
Meanwhile, a reception has been organised in Ernakulam on 28 November with Zia ul Haq's Qawwali and live music concert by Rimi Tomy and Vidhu Prathap.
