Kangana Ranaut made Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor uncomfortable on the sets of Varinder Chawla

The absence of Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor at a recent party thrown by director Vishal Bharadwaj was much noticed and has lent fodder to many speculations. The party, held on Sunday, was called to celebrate the completion of the shooting of "Rangoon," which stars Kangana Ranaut, in addition to the two actors.

Vishal's wife Rekha Bhardwaj took to social media to announce that the shooting of "Rangoon" has come to an end. "Finally its a WRAP for Rangoon film's shooting today ❤️ #Vishal Bhardwaj @WardaNadiadwala @NGEMovies Party time ❤️❤️❤️❤️" she tweeted.

Kangana attended the wrap-up bash, but Saif and Shahid seemed to have other important commitments to attend to, since they gave it a miss. It had earlier been reported that Kangana made Saif and Shahid uncomfortable on the sets of "Rangoon." Apparently, the two actors were not happy with Kangana being shown as the hero of the film.

It was also reported that Saif and Shahid did not talk to each other on the sets due to the past intimacy shared between Shahid and Saif's wife Kareena Kapoor Khan. However, the "Ki and Ka" actress laughed off the rumours in her recent interview and said that the two get along really well on and off the screen.

In "Rangoon," Saif plays the character of a filmmaker while Shahid will be seen as a soldier. Kangana plays the character of a 1940s actress named Julia. Set against the backdrop of World War II, "Rangoon" is a "Casablanca"-like love triangle.

Both Shahid and Saif have struck good rapport with the film's director, Vishal, when they have teamed up for their earlier films. Shahid has done two films, "Kaminey" and "Haider," while Saif has worked in "Omkara" with Vishal. However, this is the first time the "Queen" actress has worked with the filmmaker and the actors. "Rangoon" is expected to be released around October
