The overseas distribution rights of Rajinikanth starrer forthcoming movie "Lingaa" has been jointly acquired by Arunpandian's A&P groups and Sanjay Wadhwa's AP International. They have been in talks with producer Rockline Venkatesh for a while and finally the deal was officially sealed a few days ago.

The distributors have told producer Rockline Venkatesh that they will release worldwide in as many screens as possible. Keeping the fan-following of Rajinikanth in mind, they will release in the countries like Russia, China, Vietnam, Ukraine and other places. However, it goes without saying that "Lingaa" will have a big release in the countries like Malaysia, the UK and the US along with Singapore where there is a good Tamil population.

The A&P groups and Sanjay Wadhwa's AP International have promised Rockline Venkatesh of releasing in 1,000+ international screens, which could set a new record. Apart from foreign countries, the Tamil film is likely to release in huge number of screens in India. It will easily cross 1,200 in the country, predicts a trader. However, the release of this flick in December is forcing low and medium-budget films to either to advance the release of their films or postpone it.

Rajinikanth, Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty starrer "Lingaa", which is named after the superstar's grandson (The son of Dhanush and Aishwarya), is directed by KS Ravikumar. The movie, which was kick-started in May 2014, will be the superstar's treat for his fans on his birthday (12 December). Rajini will be seen in dual roles set in different time periods.

Meanwhile, the "Lingaa" team is busy shooting a song on Rajinikanth and Sonakshi Sinha in Hyderabad. The shooting will be wrapped up this week and the team will be leaving abroad to film a few songs post Diwali. It will be the last schedule of the shooting of the Tamil movie. The month of November will keep them busy with the post-production works.
