If the latest speculations are to be believed, the audio launch of Rajinikanth's upcoming film "Lingaa" might be delayed.

"Lingaa" audio release is slated for 9 November, but the latest buzz doing the rounds is that the music launch event might get pushed to 16 November, according to Behindwoods. It is being said that music composer AR Rahman is yet to deliver the final DATS. But, there is no official confirmation regarding the change in audio release date.

"Lingaa" is one of the most-awaited films of the year as superstar Rajinikanth is back doing what he is best at – commercial entertainer. After "Kochadaiiyaan" received an average response, there are huge expectations for the upcoming film.

Rajinikanth will be appearing in dual roles in "Lingaa", directed by KS Ravikumar. Anushka Shetty, Sonakshi Sinha, Vijayakumar, Jagapathi Babu and Santhanam are also part of the film's cast.

The shooting of the film has been completely wrapped up and the post-production work is all set to commence soon. "Yeah it's a wrap! Lingaa movie shoot completed .Hugs from Thalaivar n KSR . Movie got over in lightning speed.. Thanx for my wonderful team," tweeted "Lingaa" cinematographer Rathnavelu.

Produced by Rockline Venkatesh, "Lingaa" is gearing up for a release on 12 December as a birthday treat for Rajinikanth fans. The film will be the superstar's second release of the year after "Kochadaiiyaan."

The first look posters and the film's teaser, which were released last week, have received tremendous response from the fans.

The teaser has got more than 1 million views and is set to breach the 2 million mark soon.

Following the good response, there are big expectations for "Lingaa" music release. It needs to be seen if the album, composed by Rahman, impresses the audience and emerges as a big hit.

Eros Music, which had entered the Tamil film industry with "Kaththi", has reportedly bagged the audio rights of "Lingaa" as well.
