The possibility of Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Leone matching steps to an item number for "Raees" has got everyone talking, and the newest update may further that excitement. The pair, most likely, will recreate Feroz Khan and Zeenat Aman's chemistry from "Laila O Laila" ("Qurbani").

Set in the 80s, the crime-drama apparently has a requirement of a special song. "The makers unanimously selected "Laila O Laila" which perfectly fits with the dark, gangster theme and period. It was suggested to Shah Rukh and it was his idea to get Sunny on board. A lavish set is being created in Mumbai and rehearsals are on in full swing," Mumbai Mirror quoted a source in the know.

Borrowing a tad from the video of the yesteryear number, the pacy version of "Laila O Laila" will be shot in a club-type arrangement, in which Sunny will be seen pursuing SRK wearing a sequined gown complete with a plumed headgear.

Sunny, who is busy honouring other work commitments, will begin her two-day schedule (for the song shoot) in April. Adding dimension to the narrative, DNA reported that the item number would "rival and equal" "Ishq Kameena," which starred SRK and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

If true, this development will give the leading lady's career a well-deserved boost. After Aamir Khan, SRK takes a step forward in making the adult star-turned-actress feel at home.

"Now with Aamir declaring he would love to work with Sunny, Shah Rukh has actually taken the plunge, breaking the taboo created among A-listers regarding Sunny's past career," an insider informed the daily.

SRK scowling away in the "Raees" teaser (released in July, 2015) has spiked expectations. The Rahul Dholakia directorial is a refreshing departure from what the superstar has been offering lately. Scheduled for an Eid release, the film features Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles.
