If rumours are to be believed, "Majnu", the Telugu remake of Alphonse Puthren-Nivin Pauly's popular Malayalam movie "Premam", will see Shruti Haasan playing Malar, one of the three female leads, opposite Akkineni Naga Chaitanya.
Earlier, Parineeti Chopra was rumoured to play the role of Malar in the Telugu movie.
Naga Chaithanya will play the role of "Premam" hero character George, which was played by Nivin Pauly.
Besides Shruthi Haasan, the Chandoo Mondeti directorial will also have Amyra Dastur and Anupama Parameswaran as the two other female leads.
Anupama, who debuted in "Premam", will be reprising the role of Mary, the teenage love of the hero, while Amyra will play the role of Celine, the character who marries the hero.
"Majnu", which will be produced by S Radha Krishna, is set to go on the floors by early 2016.
