The name Salman Khan is a good enough reason to spend a few hundreds at the movie ticket window, but "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" has a few more pluses that should work in its favour.
Salman Khan-Sonam Kapoor
This may on the face of it appear mismatched, but it's definitely something new to look forward to. They are pretty much in-sync and appear comfortable in each other's company in the recently concluded media interactions. Sonam may be in her late 20s but there's something about her that doesn't make her look like a misfit for Salman.
This director's history with Salman has been glorious. With a bunch of blockbusters behind them, these two have always been instrumental in churning family entertainers. "Maine Pyar Kiya", "Hum Aapke Hain Koun?", and "Hum Saath Saath Hain" are the ones the director-actor duo did together.
It has been widely reported how Salman will be seen playing a double role – one of a prince, the other of a commoner. It will be interesting to see the actor portray two different characters in one film. Also, reports say the film boasts of a pretty stretched climax scene which has an intense sword fight featuring Salman and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
Look and feel
The vibe is positive and rich. The heavily embellished ensembles and the larger-than-life sets are proof that the makers have taken extra care to put up lavish frames for the viewers.
Set to hit screens on 12 November, the film stars Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar, and Armaan Kohli in key roles.
