Ravi Teja's "Power" has continued to perform well despite the release of Mahesh Babu's "Aagadu."

"Power", which hit the screens on 12 September, took the biggest opening ever for a Ravi Teja starrer. The film minted ₹5.14 crore on the first day at the AP/Nizam box office. It continued to perform decent business and earned around ₹12 crore share in its opening weekend.

Despite the release of "Aagadu," "Power" has managed to hold well at the box office in its second week. Although the film's business was affected on Friday, 19 September due to the Mahesh Babu starrer, it has started to do well again from Saturday. The mass entertainer is expected to continue its decent run for this week until new films hit the screens.

Directed by KS Ravindra aka Bobby, "Power" has Ravi Teja appearing in the role of a cop. Hansika and Regina Cassandra play the female leads, while the other cast members include Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sampath and Brahmanandam.

"Power" is an action entertainer with all the commercial elements. The film received decent reviews from critics who termed it as a typical Ravi Teja film. Audience also seems to have been impressed with the film, which is evident from its collections. The action entertainer is produced by Rockline Venkatesh and its music is composed by Thaman.

With the success of "Power," Ravi Teja has once again proved his mettle as mass maharaja. This will be his second successful film in a row after the 2013-release "Balupu." The actor will be next seen in Surender Reddy's "Kick 2," a sequel to his 2009-hit film "Kick." Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead opposite the mass maharaja in the film. Its shooting has already commenced and is progressing well. The film, produced by actor Kalyan Ram, is expected to hit the screens only next year.
