Sales Figure Sky Rocket to over 9M

The Nintendo 3DS exclusive, Pokemon ORAS has been selling well. It sold more than 9.35 million copies in 2014. However, its overall sales was less than that of the company's previous game, Pokemon X and Y.

"We have sold 9.35 million units of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, which were released worldwide last November. The sales total is smaller than that of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, released in the previous year, as the release date was more than one month later in the year," said Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo.

Iwata also said Pokemon ORAS sales will disprove speculations on remakes and he hoped that the game will beat all expectations.
