"Power Star" Pawan Kalyan, who had a release in September 2013, is yet to commence his new projects.

Prior to the release of 2013-blockbuster flick "Attarintiki Daredi" (AD), "Gabbar Singh 2" was announced. However, even after five months of "AD" release, Pawan's new film has not been commenced. It was reported that director Sampath Nandi was still working on the film's script, which delayed the film's commencement.

Recently, there were rumours that "Gabbar Singh 2" was shelved after Pawan's new film -"Oh My God" remake - was announced. But, it was later clarified that the film is still on track and the pre-production work is going on.

Now, what we hear is that Pawan has finally approved the script written by Sampath Nandi. But in a surprising move, Pawan has chosen a new script that has no connection with the "Gabbar Singh" franchise. Latest update from film circles suggest that Pawan has put "Gabbar Singh 2" in the back burner as he was not completely satisfied with the film's script. However, he has agreed to star in the fresh project under Sampath's direction, reported Gulte.

Buzz is that the film might not be titled "Gabbar Singh 2" and the team is yet to finalise a new name. Gulte reports that a formal pooja will be held on Friday to launch the film and its shooting will commence from April.

Pawan will be simultaneously working in Sampath's film and the "Oh My God" remake, which will have "Victory" Venkatesh co-starring with the "Power Star" for the first time. Details about other cast and crew members for both the films are yet to be revealed.
