In the wake of the current hostile situation between India and Pakistan, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has decided to ban the broadcast of all Indian TV channels. Pemra has also warned broadcasters and cable operators that it will take strict action if the directions are not followed after October 15.

It has been reported that the decision will stay till the situation gets normal.

On Thursday, Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (Imppa) had also passed a resolution to temporarily ban all Pakistani artists in India.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had also warned all the Pakistani artists in India to leave the country and also demanded a ban on Bollywood films that feature actors and actresses from the neighbouring nation.
