Samsung has released its much-awaited smartphone, the Galaxy S7, and focus will now fall on the upcoming HTC 10, Apple's iPhone 7 and Galaxy Note 6. But OnePlus 3 is one device that many will look forward to because of its expected reasonable price, despite impressive specifications.
The Chinese smartphone maker released OnePlus One in June 2014 and the OnePlus 2 in August 2015. Both the devices were received well in the market, so it's natural to expect big from the upcoming OnePlus 3.
Several reports have claimed that the device will be launched on April 7 in Beijing, but the company has confirmed in a statement to Android Authority that the device will not be released on the rumoured date. It said that the device will be awesome but didn't reveal the release date and specifications.
Pete Lau, co-founder and CEO of the company, had earlier revealed at SURGE tech conference in Bangalore, India, that its next-generation device will be released in the second quarter of this year, which means it be released before June, or as early as April.
According to reports, the OnePlus 3 will sport a 5.5-inch display with 1,920x1,080 pixels, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and run CyanogenOS based Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is also expected to come in two variants – one with a 16GB internal memory and a 3GB RAM, and the other with a 64GB internal memory and a 4GB RAM -- a 13MP main camera, a 5MP front-snapper, and a 3,500mAh battery.
