The much-awaited OnePlus 3 is just a few days away before being launched. The Co-founder of the company, Carl Pei, has confirmed the release date of the device but we don't know much about its features except the information gathered from leaks. Going by the reports, it appears that the upcoming flagship smartphone will have a significant difference over its predecessor, the OnePlus 2.

Carl Pei has announced on the OnePlus forum that the OnePlus 3 will be unveiled at its scheduled virtual event via Loop VR headsets at 12:30 pm (Eastern Time) on June 14, and open sales will start at 3:00 pm (Eastern Time) on the same day.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturing company hasn't revealed the specifications of its upcoming OnePlus 3 but leaks have indicated that it will have several feature upgrades over the OnePlus 2.

The OnePlus 3 has been spotted on TENAA listing with a 5.5-inch AMOLED full HD display and 1,080×1,920 pixel (401 ppi pixel density). It measures 152.6×74.6×7.3 mm in dimension, weighs 160 grams, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocking at 2.15GHz and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The device is also seen with a 32/64GB internal memory, a 4/6GB RAM, a 16MP main camera with LED flash, an 8MP front-snapper, and a 3,000mAh battery.

It sports a a 5.5-inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density), measures 151.8x74.9x9.9 mm in dimension and weighs 175 g. Going by the reports, the OnePlus 3 will have feature upgrades over its predecessor in terms of processor, storage and camera. However, OnePlus fans could be disappointed if the next-generation device comes with a 3,000mAh battery as compared to the 3,300mAh seen in OnePlus 2.

On the other hand, one shouldn't forget that the specifications of the OnePlus 3 doing the rounds in the media are not confirmed.
