At least two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were killed and another injured in a land mine explosion in Odisha's Maoists-hit Koraput district on Friday.

Deputy Commandant Sunil Kumar Behra, who was initially wounded in the blast, died later, ANI reported.

BSF Director General Devendra Kumar Pathak is reportedly on his way to the explosion site.

The BSF had, in December, arrested two Maoists and destroyed two of their camps in Mangalpur and Pilikabitra forests during a combing operation, according to The New Indian Express.
