Katrina Kaif's career has witnessed a steep fall courtesy the last two films — "Fitoor" and "Phantom" — which failed to create a stir at the box office. But that doesn't mean she needs a push from a superstar to validate her credentials.

However, when it comes to Bollywood, being paired opposite a male star who has a strong fan base helps (at times). Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina met at the former's Mumbai residence a few days ago and word has it, they may be doing Aanand L Rai's film together. The late-night meeting apparently went on till the next morning and was attended by the 50-year-old's manager as well.

According to a BollywoodLife report, SRK has apparently promised the actress a film. They have worked together in "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" and have been keen on reuniting ever since. The film didn't quite do justice to the chemistry they share on-screen; Aanand's untitled next could give them another shot at creating magic.

Only time will tell if pairing up with SRK will help Katrina get her mojo back.

Not just Shah Rukh, Katrina has been wanting to work with Salman Khan as well, Filmfare reported. She apparently made quite a few calls to express her eagerness to share screen space with the superstar.

Salman had also expressed an interest in working with his ex-flame. While promoting "Bajrangi Bhaijaan," he had said how he would love to have Katrina on board for his film with Atul Agnihotri. "I would love to have Katrina in the film but I don't know," the Press Trust of India quoted him as saying.

The "Sultan" actor has been instrumental in shaping the actress' career. Although she made it to the top with her hard work and determination, it was Salman's films that put her on the spotlight. "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?" and "Partner" surely added a much-needed sparkle to her resume.

In other news, the actress will be next seen in "Baar Baar Dekho" and "Jagga Jasoos."
