At a time when most Bollywood actresses are game to shed their essentials for the sake of their career and fame in the industry, this Bollywood diva is proud to say that she is stern on sticking to her family values.

Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of yesteryear actor Shatrughan Sinha, has vowed that she will never compromise on her values or run in the mad race of doing anything to look sexy.

"I wear what suits me. I am not inspired by any Hollywood celeb when it comes to making red carpet appearances. I have my distinct sense of fashion and am proud of it," she says.

"I think a saree complements an Indian figure perfectly. I am also happy that unlike other actresses who wear short dresses for item numbers/songs, I look attractive even when I wear sarees," she said in an interview with a national daily.

Sonakshi is just two films old in the industry but has awed the audience with her appreciable performance and powerful role in both her films.

She has indeed been lucky to star opposite all the A-listers of the industry, be it Dabangg with Salman Khan, Son of Sardaar with Ajay Devgn or her latest superhit film Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar. However, this shining starlet says her father's standing in the industry has helped her lot to achieve this.

"I am happy that the filmmakers have so far agreed to my terms. Being Shatrughan Sinha's daughter has helped me immensely," she said.

"It's reassuring to know that I have some good films in my kitty without having compromised on my values," TOI quoted Sonakshi as saying.

About working with all the bigwigs in the initial days of her career, the 24-year-old said, "I would be a fool to deny that working with established actors in the country immediately makes people sit up and notice your work even if it is a small role in the film."

"Even if I am just 24 and they are in their 40s, when we are paired opposite each other, we look good. These senior stars are extremely professional, humble and fun to work with," she added.
