Volkswagen India is scheduled to break the cover of its new Beetle in the country on 19 December. Now, ahead of its much-awaited launch in the country, the third generation of Volkswagen's iconic Beetle has started arriving at dealerships of the company.

A fresh batch of spy shots of Volkswagen Beetle has started doing the rounds on the internet showing the model at a dealership in its ready for delivery form. Indian Autos Blog managed to get the latest spy shots of Beetle.

For the uninitiated, the new avatar of Beetle will be offered in India in four colours: Habanero Orange, Oryx White, Tornado Red and Blue Silk, and will be sold only in one variant. The bookings for the Beetle are underway in the country with a down payment of Rs 1 lakh and will be brought to India as CBU .

The Beetle, which is slightly angular in its latest avatar, will accommodate features like a dual-zone air-conditioning system, multi-function display, an audio system with eight speakers, panaromic sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirrors and cruise control.

Expected to be priced around Rs 30 lakh, under the bonnet, Volkswagen Beetle will get an in-line four-cylinder 1395cc TSI petrol engine, developing 148bhp and 250Nm of torque, mated to seven-speed DSG transmissions. The car can accelerate 0-100 kmph in 8.7 seconds and attain a top speed of 203 kmph.
