New Honda Jazz is all set to make its India debut in July. Now, weeks ahead of its launch, a fresh batch of spy shots of the hatchback has emerged online.
Snapped by folks at Indian Autos Blog, the latest spy shots of the new Honda Jazz show the top end trim VX. Interestingly, the prototype has been snapped in its completely undisguised form, giving a sneak peek into the new avatar of the premium hatchback Jazz before its arrival in the market.
The new Honda Jazz, which will compete against the likes of Hyundai Elite i20 and Maruti Swift in India, will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options.
The upcoming model is the first one in its line-up to come equipped with diesel engine.
The engine line-up of the new Honda Jazz is expected to include 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that powers Amaze and Brio and can generate power of 87bhp with a torque of 110Nm at 4,800rpm, and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor that can pump 100PS of power and 200Nm torque. The petrol version would come fitted with CVT and paddle shifters.
Likely to be available in 12 variants, the new Honda Jazz is rumoured to come donned in six body paints - White, Red, Silver, Titanium Metallic, Crystal Black and Carnelian Red.
Honda has already started teasing its upcoming models through images and videos and is expected to announce bookings for new Jazz soon.
Some dealers have reportedly started accepting bookings for the new Jazz. It is also being said that the company has started shipment of the new Jazz to dealers.
The new Honda Jazz is expected to get alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, wing mirrors with integrated indicators, touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, DVD/CD, USB and AUX-In connectivity, steering mounted controls and automatic climate control system.
The new Honda Jazz is expected to make its market entry with a price tag of around ₹7.1 lakh (ex-showroom).
