As a magnitude four aftershock, with its epicentre in Dhadig district, was recorded at 4:25am another tremor, having its epicentre in Gorkha district, was observed at 5:57am, authorities said.

"Such kind of aftershocks repeat for weeks when big quake jolts. So people should not be worried," said Lok Bijaya Adhikari of the National Seismological Centre.
