Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has struggled a lot to reach where he is today. After winning hearts with his performance in the latest flick "Manjhi – The Mountain Man", the actor has been in roped in to work in Anurag Kashyap's next.

Speculations are doing the rounds that actress Shruti Haasan is the lead actress in the film, according to Bollywood Life.

Kashyap has apparently cast Nawaz to play a psychopathic serial killer. It is a real story based on the serial killer Raman Raghavan, who killed 23 people in 1966.

Apparently, the shooting has not commenced yet as the actor is busy with other work projects.

"Anurag Kashyap was keen that Nawaz play the role. It's an interesting character. The unit starts shooting in the next 10 days because Nawaz doesn't have any dates free after that," Bollywood Life quoted a source as saying.

Apart from Haasan being the lead actress, there is another buzz of Ayushmann Khurrana playing the tough cop in this thriller flick, though no official announcement has been made yet.

This will be the third film of Nawaz and Kashyap together; their earlier films were "Gangs Of Wasseypur and "Dev D".

From playing villain in "Kick 2" to portraying a Pakistani journalist in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", Nawaz has attempted and excelled in all roles.

Thus, it will be interesting to see him playing the bad boy in Anurag Kashyap's next.
