UFC star Nate Diaz has been in the news quite often in the last few days mostly because he has been rejecting every fight the UFC has offered him this year. Diaz has not fought since he lost to Conor McGregor at UFC 202 via a majority decision and has since rejected fights against Eddie Alvarez and Tony Ferguson.

Diaz was set to take on Ferguson at UFC 213 but then pulled out of the fight because according to him, he did not want to do McGregor's dirty work while he is away making millions fighting Floyd Mayweather. Now it is highly likely that Diaz will be sitting the rest of the year out but the UFC might be able to tempt him into getting inside the octagon before the end of the year.

During a recent interview Diaz revealed that if the UFC were to offer him a nonsense fight only a pay package of around $20 million would make him reconsider his decision not to fight Ferguson.

Diaz's fight against Ferguson was set to be for the interim lightweight championship and he revealed that he was being pressured into fighting, while McGregor was taking a break from the sport due to the birth of his son. Since rejecting that fight, the UFC have not contacted him about another fight but Diaz said he has no problem with that.

"If you're trying to pull me out of a normal life right now, I'm not doing it for a fake title at 155 pounds. I told them I'd take the fight at 165 pounds, no belt. I'm not interested in losing a bunch of weight for no reason," Diaz said.

"If they call me with a nonsense fight, my number is $20 million. You call me with a fight that won't do me any good, you need to pay me $20 million just to hear that bulls***. "I have a contract, but that's only for when I want to fight. That's how that works, right? Right now, I don't want to fight nobody," ESPN quoted Diaz as saying.

No UFC star including UFC lightweight champion McGregor has been paid that much ever so it's highly unlikely that the UFC will meet Diaz's $20 million demand. Nate as well as his brother Nick's UFC future is in doubt now after UFC President Dana White revealed earlier that he is not sure if either of them will ever fight in the UFC again.

"I don't know if those guys will ever fight again. We offer them fights all the time. We offer fights and they turn them down. I don't know what he wants. That's up to them. If they want to fight next week or they never want to fight again, that's up to them, that's not up to me," White said.
