While a man has been arrested for masturbating at a foreign lady in Mumbai, actress turned writer Twinkle Khanna revealed that she also was a victim of a similar incident during her childhood.

Expressing her views on the Colaba case in Mumbai, Twinkle Khanna said that such incidents are saddening and revealed that she witnessed something similar during her school trip to "Hanging Gardens" when she was just 12, reports India Today.

Twinkle Khanna, who recently launched her first book, stated that it is sad that such incidents continue to happen and called men who indulge in such acts 'mentally-ill'.

A man was arrested on Wednesday after a foreign lady by the name Maryanna Abdo mentioned the incident on Twitter and her tweet became viral. It also came to the notice of the Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.

Akshay Kumar's wife Twinkle Khanna has been in news these days for the launch of her first book titled "Mrs Funnybones: She's Just Like You and a Lot Like Me".

The book launch was also attended by Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan praised Twinkle Khanna's sense of humour and writing but asserted that he never thought she would write a book one day.

"I am a regular reader of Twinkle's articles. I know she is funny but I did not think that she would write a book. I did not know that behind her is this sharp and talented woman," Mid-Day quoted Aamir Khan as saying.
