Much-awaited Kamal Haasan's 'Vishwaroopam' in Photos

Actor and director Kamala Haasan's latest offering 'Vishwaroopam' has been generating a lot of hype from the day it went on floors.

After the actor showcased the excerpts from his latest spy-action thriller at the IIFA platform early this month, it has just raised the bar of expectations to a new level. (Click here to take a look at the film's stills)

Unveiling 'Vishwaroopam' trailer at IIFA brought a lot of attention to Kamal's work and also secured him an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with Barrie M. Osborne, one of big Hollywood producers.

Osborne decided to join hands with Kamal after being impressed by his work in 'Vishwaroopam'.

Kamal in coming days will be making his Hollywood debut in an unnamed project, which will be produced by Osborne. According to sources, the project is going to be about Indian culture but in Hollywood frame. However, the project is still in its infancy and we have to wait for a while before we get to hear more from the latest Kollywood-Hollywood team.  

Kamal will be writing and acting in this Hollywood film. However, the Tamil actor has expressed his willingness to direct the movie as well, if Osborne wants him to.

'Vishwaroopam' is Kamal's big project till date. The film is co-produced and directed by him and is being made in different languages including Tamil, Telugu and Hindi as well.

Kamal revealed that 'Vishwaroopam' movie has been in his mind for nearly seven years.

The film's story is set in USA; Vishwanath alias Wiz (Kamal), a Kathak exponent, and Nirupama get married (Pooja Kumar). Each has an agenda and they seem to have achieved their wishes in three years of matrimony.

Nirupama gets her Ph.D and Wiz runs his dance class in New Jersey unhindered by each other. All is fine till Dr. Nirupama aspires for more and wants to opt out of the arranged marriage.

Nirupama cannot cite any specific reason to leave Wiz as there is nothing much to complain about him.

However, according to Nirupama every male must have a flaw. So she decides to find out something about him to feel better about her decision to part. She hires a detective to rake up something on him. Wires get cross-connected and all hell breaks loose.

'Vishwaroopam' is expected to be released on July 12 worldwide. The film besides having Kamal in the lead role has Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Jaideep Ahlawat, Samrat Chakrabarti, Zarina Wahab and a guest appearance by Shekhar Kapur.
