Sushant Singh Rajput 's MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (MSDTUS) remained strong at the Indian box office in its second week and surpassed Rs 100 crore mark in the domestic market on its ninth day.
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story had a superb opening and had decent collection on the following days. The movie collected Rs 94.13 crore nett at the Indian box office in the first week and missed to cross the mark of Rs 100 crore with a small margin. The movie was expected to continue its dream run and surpass the mark on its eighth day, by raking in Rs 5.87 crore nett.
The Sushant Singh Rajput starrer clashed with two new Dussehra releases Miryza and Tutak Tutak Tutiya, which forced it out of several cinema halls in its second week. Its business was also affected by a host of big-ticket releases from Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam in the south India. The movie had a massive drop.
When compared to its opening day collection, the Neeraj Pandey-directed sports drama witnessed over 80 percent drop in its business on its second Friday. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story collected Rs 4.07 crore nett at the Indian box office on its second Friday, taking its eight day domestic total to Rs 98.20 crore. The movie missed to surpass the mark on its eighth day.
The new releases Miryza and Tutak Tutak Tutiya garnered mixed talk, which paved the way for the biopic of MS Dhoni in the domestic and the one-week-old movie showed good growth on its second Saturday. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is estimated to have collected over Rs 5.20 crore at the Indian box office on its ninth day.
