The long-rumoured Motorola Moto G (2015) is expected to finally see the light of the day on 28 July.

For the last few weeks, features and price details of Moto G (3rd Gen) device have flooded the internet revealing almost everything about the Motorola device. But, we just can't trust all the things said on the web to turn true.

To provide a better perspective on the upcoming Moto G smartphone, we have leafed numerous trust-worthy reports and stitched together a list of features which are more likely to make the cut in the new Motorola mid-range phone.

Design and display:

As per the leaked snapshots, the new phone looks identical to Moto G (2nd Gen) from the front side. The placement of speaker grills on the top and bottom is identical to the 2014 model. But the similarity ends there. The edges around the phone and the rear-side look entirely new and visually appealing.

On the back, Moto G (2015) features a silver hued strip featuring camera module with dual-LED flash (below), which extends to the middle culminating with Motorola's trademark batwing logo.

Another notable inclusion is the textured (diagonally striped) back panel. It looks refreshing compared to Moto G (2 Gen), which had smooth surface, but looked generic and inferior in quality [View the Moto G (3rd Gen) images, HERE]

As far as the display is concerned, Motorola's new Moto G (2015) is said to keep 5.0-inch HD (1,289x720p) display, same as its predecessor. Though there is no bump in the resolution, the upcoming phone will boast IPX7 certifications making device water-resistant.

As per Ingress Protection rating IPX7, the device will be able to survive up to five feet underwater for close to 30 minutes.

2014 model too had some nano-coating (both inside and outside), but users could only use the phone during rain for a few minutes. This time, Moto G (2015) owners can take the device for dip in the swimming pool and take photos under water, provided all the open ports are covered by flaps. This value-added feature is available in top-end Sony Xperia devices, now Motorola is introducing it in the mid-range category handset.

Processor, Storage and RAM:

Motorola Moto G (2015) is said to come in two storage variants: one having 8GB/1GB RAM and another with 16GB/2GB RAM combinations.

Both the models are expected to come with a microSD slot (expandable up to 32GB) and house 64-bit class 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 series quad-core processor.

Camera:

Moto G (2014) sports an 8mp camera on the back and a 2mp snapper on the front. This time the new phone is said to come with bump in pixel counts on both sides; a 13mp main camera and a 5mp front-facing camera.

Battery:

Moto G (3rd Gen) is expected to ship with 2,470 mAh battery, 400mAh more than its predecessor. With 16% additional power capacity, the new Motorola phone is poised to run longer. Even the teasers posted by Motorola promises longer battery life.

Mobile Operating system:

Motorola has already updated most of its Moto series to Android 5.1 Lollipop, so the new Moto G (2015) is expected to run on the latest 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

Moto G (2015) Release Details:

Last year, Motorola had released Moto G (2nd Gen) just hours after the official unveiling of the device. So, we expect the company to follow the same strategy on 28 July.

Previous reports have indicated that Motorola will introduce Moto Maker option to Moto G (2015) this year. This customisation service is expected to debut in Brazil, China, North America and select regions of Europe. But, we are not sure whether the company will bring Moto Maker to India.
