After 18 years, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will be seen opposite Gautami Tadimalla (Gauthami, Gowthami) in an upcoming trilingual film that will be directed by National Film Award winner Chandra Shekar Yeleti.

The duo was last seen together in Mani Ratnam's blockbuster hit film "Iruvar" released in 1997. They have also acted in the 1990 Malayalam film "His Highness Abdullah".

"I'm glad to announce that i will be working with one of the great actors in India Mohanlal Garu and Gowthami Garu in the lead," the director confirmed on his Facebook page.

The upcoming offbeat movie is expected to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and will be produced by Sai Korrapati of "Eega" fame.

The shooting is expected to begin by the third week of November. This will be Mohanlal's second Telugu outing after Balakrishna's "Gaandivam", in which he appeared in the song "Goruvanka" in 1994.

Gauthami made her comeback to acting after 9 years opposite her life partner Kamal Haasan's 2015 film "Papanasam", which was the Tamil remake of Mohanlal's blockbuster film "Drishyam". She was also seen judging the second season of the adventure reality show "Ugram Ujjwalam" on Malayalam entertainment channel Mazhavil Manorama.

The 47-year-old actress, who is also a cancer survivor, recently shocked fans with her stunning photoshoot by Chennai based photographer G Venkat Ram, in which she looked absolutely gorgeous and young.
