Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his first bilateral visit to the UK on a stellar note on Thursday, as the two countries announced new collaborations worth 9 billion pounds as well as a civil nuclear agreement, while the leader also charmed British MP during his speech at the Parliament. 

Modi also won British support for India's bid to be a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

On Friday, the second day of his three-day UK visit, PM Modi has some high-profile engagements, including lunch with Queen Elizabeth II at the Buckingham Palace and a meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron at the latter's resident at Chequers. 

Later, Modi will receive a grand reception by the Indian diaspora in UK at the Wembley Stadium in London, with more than 60,000 people expected to attend.
